Megan Fox and John C Reilly are set to make cameos in The Dictator, a comedy currently being filmed in New York by Borat creator Sacha Baron Cohen.
The Paramount movie has been described as “the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed”.
Baron Cohen is said to play dual roles of a goat herder and a deposed foreign ruler who gets lost in the US.
The roles that Fox and Reilly play are being kept under wraps. Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas are also in the movie, set for release next May.
Larry Charles returns as director after working with Baron Cohen on both Borat and the follow-up, Bruno.
Fox, who was reportedly fired from the Transformers series by producer Steven Spielberg after she likened director Michael Bay to Hitler, has made a shift away from the action world.
She recently shot the ensemble comedic drama Friends With Kids, directed by Jennifer Westfelt and starring Kristen Wiig and Adam Scott, and booked a role in Judd Apatow’s latest project, This Is Forty.
Reilly recently co-starred in the indie comedy Cedar Rapids and the Cannes drama We Need to Talk About Kevin.
He will be heard next year as part of the voice cast of Disney’s animated feature Wreck-It Ralph.
