Actor Brian Austin Green has confirmed that he has split up with wife Megan Fox after 10 years or marriage and three kids together.
He revealed the information during his podcast …With Brian Austin Green where he also said that he and the Transformers actress have been separated for several months since the end of 2019.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star explained that the separation happened after Fox returned from working on a film overseas and wasn’t acting like herself.
“I gave her a few weeks, I figured you know, she’s been out of the country, she’s jet-lagged, she’s been shooting nights, I have to give her some time to recoup a little bit and get back into life,” he said.
The 44-year-old Green shared that Fox later told him she realised she felt “more like myself” while working alone overseas, and that she felt it was something “worth trying for me.”
“And, I was shocked and I was upset about it, but I can’t be upset at her, and I wasn’t upset at her because that’s, she didn’t ask to feel that way, it wasn’t a choice she made, that’s the way she honestly felt,” he said.
The couple decided to part ways, following which the 33-year-old Fox was spotted out and about with rapper Machine Gun Kelly, who co-stars with her in the upcoming film Midnight In The Switchgrass.
But Green was quick to put down any talk of animosity.
“Megan and I have talked about him. They’re friends at this point,” he said. “I don’t want people to think her or he are villains or that I was a victim in any way.”
He also added that the couple plans to “still do family vacations and holidays as a family and really make that a focus for the kids.”
They have three children together – Noah, Bodhi and Journey – and first met in 2004. They tied the knot in 2010 and though they had an initial split in 2015, they reconciled after Fox became pregnant with Journey.
