Megan Fox made sure the Toronto Film Festival opened with a bang as she stepped out in a stunning little black dress.
At a screening of her new film Jennifer’s Body, the 23-year-old appropriately flashed a lot of ‘Megan’s body’ in a ruffled, strapless Valentino mini dress and Christian Louboutin ankle-strap peep-toe heels.
The Tennessee-born beauty was the star of the show at a special ‘Midnight madness’ première of the comedic horror film – which marks Megan’s first leading role.
After signing autographs for fans crowded outside the Ryerson Theatre, Megan joined writer Diablo Cody, director Karyn Kasuma and her co-stars Adam Brody, Amanda Seyfried and Johnny Simmons on stage to introduce the film.
Megan graciously received a single red rose from an adoring fan and flattered her handsome co-star Johnny with a kiss on the cheek.Paying tribute to scriptwriter Diablo, who won an Oscar for her Juno, Megan gushed: ‘It wasn’t really so much about it being a horror film as much as it was being a script that was written by Diablo Cody and I was blessed to be part of something like that.’
Speaking to reporters on the red carpet, Diablo claimed she found it too difficult to concentrate because Megan’s beauty was ‘too distracting’.
Jennifer’s Body stars Megan as a possessed cheerleader named who tries to kill all her schoolmates.
The film involves a gratuitous scene which shows Megan and Amanda kissing.
Megan said: ‘There’s a girl-on-girl kiss. This movie is so sexy. You better put on your sexy shoes for this one.
‘I feel much safer with girls, so I felt more comfortable kissing her in the movie than kissing any of the other people that I had to kiss.
‘I think she [Amanda] was extremely uncomfortable. I don’t think that, I know that.
‘She was not comfortable and there was a lot of laughing, like, giggling fits that happened in between takes.’
As well as kissing, the pair also have a vicious fight scene, which left Amanda covered in bruises.
She told Entertainment Weekly magazine: ‘I had bruises between my legs from her hips. It’s unbelievable how much pain I was in.’
Director Karyn said the movie really proves Megan’s ability as an actress, which wouldn’t have been as evident in the Transformers films.
She said: ‘It was hard to know what her range was after Transformers, and I don’t think she would disagree with that.
‘But it was really a pleasure to work with everybody who was an untested entity and see that she really had the goods.’
The Toronto Film Festival, which started on Thursday, will run until September 19 with expected highlights to include Up In Air (starring George Clooney) and Whip It (starring Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore).
• Jennifer’s Body is scheduled for release in the UK on November 6.
