Forget girl squad! Zooey Deschanel has her own mom squad!
The proud new mother opened up to ET about the birth of her daughter, Elsie Otter, and her friendship with fellow parent and New Girl co-star Megan Fox.
“She seems like a really good mom,” Deschanel explains. “It’s fun to talk about kids once you have them. I think when you don’t have kids you’re like, ‘Why are they talking about their kids so much?’ And then when you do have one you’re like, ‘All I want to do is talk about my kid!’”
Although Fox, 29, who has two children of her own, admits that there’s not much left to teach the 35-year-old Elf actress.
“We’ve talked a lot about how when you have a new baby that’s all you talk about,” she told ET. “We’ve talked about the birthing process and diapers and things like that. I didn’t give her any advice! She’s read every book already.”
“There’s nothing I can teach her,” she adds.
Deschanel, who welcomed her first child with husband Jacob Pechenik in August, absolutely adores being a mom.
“It’s the best,” she shared. “It’s so wonderful. I’m in love with my baby.”
