Comic-Con: 15 Minutes of Jennifer’s Body Screened

Tonight Fox showed off what is roughly the first fifteen minutes of Jennifer’s Body, and followed the presentation with a brief mini-press conference featuring star Megan Fox, director Karyn Kusama, writer Diablo Cody and producer Jason Reitman. The footage surprised me; I didn’t think much of the trailer, but really enjoyed the vibe that was given a chance to develop over these early sequences that set the film’s tone. I walked away thinking of Jennifer’s Body much as I did Drag Me To Hell last year: this could be a smart but (in some ways) old-school horror film created by people who love the form. [Read more…]

SDCC: The Jonah Hex Panel!

The world’s first look at Jonah Hex just screened in SDCC’s Hall H. Though it had the look and feel of a trailer, director Jimmy Hayward seemed to say that it was a special SDCC-only presentation. He also made the note that, while the film has some supernatural stylings, there’s no Voodoo king or army of the dead.

We’re told about Jonah Hex as we see him and someone asks how he got his scar. He says that he’s never told anyone the story, though we see a flash of him being branded. A voice tells us that, since then, he’s walked with one foot in life and one foot in death. [Read more…]

Megan Fox Wants to Be as Pretty as Robert Pattinson

“I would eat Robert Pattinson so that I could steal some of that pretty,” Megan Fox jokingly told E! News in a brief interview on the red carpet of 2009 Comic Con International in San Diego. “I just wanna be pretty like he’s pretty. I want that James Dean, that sexy-ass hair”, she added.

Megan Fox attended the star-studded event to promote her latest big screen movie “Jennifer’s Body”, in which she stars as Jennifer, a cheerleader who is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. She co-stars the likes of Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody, and Johnny Simmons among others. The comedy-horror-thriller flick is slated for September 18 U.S. release. [Read more…]

Megan Fox doesn’t want to be like Britney Spears

Megan Fox told Britain’s Heat magazine she doesn’t want to be swarmed by the paparazzi like Britney Spears.

“Daniel Day-Lewis is incredibly successful, and he’s not being followed by the paparazzi. You put yourself in that position,” said Fox. “You never see Nicole Kidman in the tabloids like you see Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson.”

“If I were to go out and make a scene in every club in New York and L.A., eventually I would start getting a lot of press in the tabloids. But is that something I want?”

I’m thinking the answer might be “yes,” considering how outspoken Fox is.

Megan Fox Is More Than Just A Pretty Face At Comic-Con

There are certain truths in life that seem impossible to debate: Geeks don’t get the girls; hot women aren’t interested in comic books; sequels to Keanu Reeves films always suck. Well, OK, maybe the last one still holds true but at Comic Con ’09, sultry Megan Fox is doing her philanthropic best to break down the walls, shatter the stereotypes and prove that hot chicks dig comics.

“I do have [geek cred],” the “Transformers” star grinned while promising us that she wasn’t just another Hollywood pretty face who was dropping into the world’s biggest comic book convention to pitch a movie. “How can I prove it to you?”

For starters, Fox is here to unveil two extremely geek-friendly flicks. On Thursday night, she hosted a wild bash for her September 18 horror flick “Jennifer’s Body,” and on Friday (July 24), she unveiled “Jonah Hex” to the comic fans who have loved the relatively obscure DC character for decades. Megan Fox Says The Rumors Are False: She Did Not Turn Down Bond Girl Role

Yesterday, we published a post in which we noted that The UK’s Daily Star had reported that “Transformers” star Megan Fox turned down the offer to play the role of a lifetime: The infamous Bond Girl. Apparently, the story was (as we were hoping) false! While at Comi-Con in San Diego promoting her latest films “Jennifer’s Body” and “Jonah Hex,” Megan spoke with EXTRA and cleared up the ridiculous rumor. “No one ever talked to me about doing that movie,” she said. “I would never turn something like that down.” [Read more…]
